Supporting the deaf and hearing impaired
Help us give deaf and hearing impaired children the educational trips and experience that are key to their education.
Why we are here…
Welcome! We are a family run charity dedicated to raising money for deaf and hearing impaired children mainly in Early Years Education. We aim to provide trips and experiences for deaf children that are vital to their early years development. We also wish to provide appropriate training for any early years workers who wish to educate themselves on how to better teach and care for the deaf community. We are doing this in honour of the amazing Pam Yale, she dedicated her own education and then future career to teaching early years, specialising a lot in teaching in deaf schools and units.
This year Pam's Grandson joined her memorial walk for the first time. Five year old Ollie collected sponsors before hand in his cash pot of £123.15 mainly from outside his school and £325 on his co fund me page!
This years memorial walk around Grasmere in the Lake District consisted of 13 Parties of 30 walkers, 9 dogs, sunshine and over 8000 steps.
Pam's memory lives in our hearts 2026!
Moving the walk to May near Pam's birthday for better weather!
Dan Mason raised £510 for the foundation in October 2025 running the Venice Marathon. Dan chose to support us after working in a deaf primary school. Dan sees Pam's vision and how important inclusion, communication, and hands-on learning is and wanted to help us make sure hearing impaired children have no barriers.
A lovely walk around Grasmere raising money for Pam's passion.

We were invited to a very emotional grand opening of a very special willow garden.
Royal Cross primary school for the deaf have dedicated this garden to Pam.
As she still worked there Pam wished to create a safe calm space for the pupils to be with nature and now there always will be.
Her class, other pupils, colleagues, parents, governors and even school bus drivers helped make the garden wonderful.
Pam grandson cut the ribbon to open Pam's great idea up to all pupils that need a place to be with there thoughts.
They included us as we planted a tree on behalf of Pam.
We knew Pam was special but this just shows the impact she had on everyone she met and how much of an honour it is to be her family.
